Restoration to the individual means to bring back and/or recall the "new man" that was received through Jesus Christ at Salvation. Jesus came that we may have life and more abundantly, John 10:10. You may have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in the past (maybe just yesterday). Somewhere down the road, you came to a point where maybe you gave up. You may have lost hope. You may have just decided that it's easier to turn back. Today, you found out that it's a New Day. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn't here, but you do have today! Hopefully you've decided to come back to Jesus Christ. You know that in your heart, He didn't leave you. Sin came in and separated you from your creator. You may have turned back or maybe came to a standstill. Whatever the case may be, through the Holy Spirit, Jesus is here for you with open arms. Today is your day to repent and move forward! "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (I Peter 1:8-9) "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." ( Matthew 11: 28-30) Psalm 51: 1-2, 10-12, 15 and 17 "Have mercy upon me, O God, According to You lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies. Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast away Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and a contrite heart- These, O God, You will not despise." |
